“Let’s Get Cooking" is a lottery funded initiative to encourage children to cook and eat healthily. Our LGC club is run weekly in school time by local volunteers and each year groups of children cook once every half term.

School Allotment

Our school allotment was built by local businesses, parents, staff and children. Our children are keen gardeners and enjoy sowing, growing and eating the produce we grow.

We have received money from the "Community Chest Grant"  to enable us to purchase a polytunnel for our allotment.

Our school has been lucky to receive a grant from the Community Foundation to enable us to keep hens on the school premises. They arrived in April 2014 and are happy and thriving in our wildlife area. We have also had a donation of three hens from a local lady. The children tend to the hens needs daily on a rota basis and we now have our own free range fresh eggs.
