Absence from School
When your child is absent, we are required by law to log the reasons for that absence. If your child is absent for a period of time, including half days, we must have notification, with an explanation in writing when your child returns.
If your child is absent, please take the following action:
Telephone by 9am to notify the school that your child will be absent and why. This is applicable for each day child is absent unless a return date is given.

Holiday leave or absence for reasons other than illness must be authorised by the Headteacher in advance. Please note that we are no longer able to authorise holiday leave in school time unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Our attendance target is 3.5% absence. We are typically within this target.
2020/21 Attendance was - 95.7%
This has been greatly affected by COVID-19 disruptions and refelcts negatively on all schools nationally.
