Class 3 - Week 5 - 4/5/20 to 8/5/20 

​For those of you working and learning from home in these troubling times we are doing our very best to support and continue the education of all children. We hope that you will find the links and resources that we upload to these pages useful and that you will engage your children in lots of different learning opportunities. Above all, stay well and stay safe.

Tasks:
Maths - Follow the links below to video lessons provided by White Rose. Watch and pause videos to discuss the maths. Worksheets are being posted out and should be with you by Tuesday.
Complete lessons 1-5 from Summer term -  Week 2.
Year 3 - Add/Subtract Fractions and Problem Solving 
Year 4 - Round Decimals and Money 
Year 5 - Adding and Subtracting Decimals
English -
This week I would like you to try the BBC bitesize daily lessons to work on grammar aspects of English. I will post a link for each day as soon as they are available, just click the blue links. 
Day 1 - Using inverted commas for speech 
Day 2- Use Paragraphs correctly
Day 3- Fronted adverbials
Day 4- Coordinating conjunctions
Day 5- Apostrophes for possession
 
Topic -
Year 4 and 5 Children only -
VE Day (Victory over Europe) day is this week. I would like you to find out about the end of the war and how the Allies won. 
Plan a VE day party to have at home on Friday 8th May. Do some baking, make bunting, try and find out about music and clothes from the 1940's. Have fun!
