 Class 3 - Week 4 - 27/4/20 to 1/5/20 

​For those of you working and learning from home in these troubling times we are doing our very best to support and continue the education of all children. We hope that you will find the links and resources that we upload to these pages useful and that you will engage your children in lots of different learning opportunities. Above all, stay well and stay safe.

Tasks:
Maths - Follow the links below to video lessons provided by White Rose. Watch and pause videos to discuss the maths. Worksheets are being posted out and should be with you by Tuesday.
Complete lessons 1-5 from Summer term -  Week 1.
Year 3 - Fractions 
Year 4 - Decimals 
Year 5 - Decimals
English -
Day 1 - Read the Story of 'Ananse and the Pot of Wisdom'
How would you describe the character of Ananse? Can you make up three sentences to describe him? Do you think what happened to him was fair? Why?
Write a shortened summary of the story.
Day 2 - Read the Ananse story 'Why pig has a short snout' 
How does it compare to the other Ananse story you read? What is similar? What is different? Which do you prefer? Why? Make a summary of the story
Use words and pictures to make a summary of the story on Story map, Try using your map to help you to tell the story to somebody else. 
Day 3 - Look at the picture of 'Ananse and the Birds'.
Investigate the picture and write down 10 things you notice. Plan your own version of Ananse and the Birds.
Day 4 - Using your plan of Ananse and the Birds, write a story. Please take a photo of the finished piece and upload it to Class Dojo so I can read and give feedback on it.
Day 5 - Write a poem on spiders. Think about what they do, how they move, what they look like, what people think of them if you get stuck.
 
Topic - Continue with your topic based projects for 1 more week.
Year 4 and 5 Children only -
Research and create a mini-project on World War 2.
