For those of you working and learning from home in these troubling times we are doing our very best to support and continue the education of all children. We hope that you will find the links and resources that we upload to these pages useful and that you will engage your children in lots of different learning opportunities. Week 1 - Please make use of the learning packs that were sent home with your child last week.
Week 2 -
Maths - Follow the links below to video lessons provided by White Rose. Watch and pause videos to discuss the maths. Either print the worksheet to go with it or get your child to draw and recreate some of the models shown (this is excellent for consolidating understanding).

Watch 'The most magnificent thing' by Ashley Spires, or read the book on 'Epic Books' using your login.
Day 1 - Design and label your own 'Magnificent thing'
Day 2 - Write an explanation text for how it works.
Day 3 - Plan a short story about yourself and your magnificent thing using a story map.
Day 4 - Write your story using your map. 'describe, describe, describe'
Day 5 - Create a set of rules for what you should do when things get too hard. How do you get out of 'the dip'? How can you conquer a 'big challenge'?
Science - Watch 'Lets Go Live' with Maddie. Have a go at disecting and naming parts of a flower for yourself (if possible). Draw and label a cross section of a flower. Examples here
